Grout Mortar

BOYTİM 401

Description:
It is a cement based, high strength, non-shrinking, self-settling grout
mortar.
Areas of Use:
In the assembly of prefabricated concrete building elements, in
the manufacture of curtain and column heads, fixing the turbines,
generators, compressors and pumps, all kinds of industrial machines
and steel columns at the power plants, reinforced concrete
reinforcement and steel construction jacketing applications; It is used for
filling the gaps left in a controlled way, placing the steel bridge legs on
the foundation base, filling the spaces between the column end, the roof
foot and the steel plate in space roof, truss roof systems.
Product Advantages:
• It has high pressure resistance.
• It has high fluency property.
• Atmospheric conditions do not change their physical properties during
the performance period.
• Due to its chemical structure, it provides high adherence to concrete
and reinforcement.
• As water / cement ratio is low, it is waterproof.
• It is resistant to freeze-thaw cycle.
• It has expansion property and does not shrink.
• It is resistant to chlorine, sulfate and oils.
Application Information:
Application Temperature: (+5 ° C) – (+35 ° C) Mixing Ratio: 3.5 – 4.5 lt
water / 25 kg powder
Time to use: 30 minutes
Application Thickness: 10-50 mm
Average Consumption: 2-2,2 kg/m² (for 1 mm thickness)
*These values are valid for 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Times may
vary depending on ambient conditions.
Surface Preparation:
Before placing the machine, loose and distorted areas in the concrete
should be cleaned and the surfaces that will come grout should be
roughened. Materials that will affect the strength of the mortar such as
oil, dust, dirt smeared on the bolt or baseplate should be cleaned. Air
discharge holes must be drilled in the baseplate. The scale must be
adjusted by placing the machine in place. If the adjusting wedges are
to be removed later, they should be lightly lubricated. The foundation
concrete should be saturated with water at least 6 hours before the
grout pouring after the installation and adjustment work of the machine
is finished.
The molds must be made of solid material that will not absorb and leak

the water of the mortar and must be durable. Between the edge of the
base plate and the mold on the side where the mortar will be poured 5
cm casting space should be left. In order to give the pressure to spread
the mortar, the mold height should be adjusted on the casting side.
The edges of the molds should be without gaps to prevent leakage and
pressure loss.
The application surface should be made clean from dust, dirt, oil, paint
residue, and similar foreign matters reducing adherence.
If the surface has low adherence, broken, loose parts, these parts must
be removed from the surface.
The floor should be dampened, moistened, and saturated with water.
Mixture Preparation:
25 kg BOYTİM 401 ; 3,5-4,5 lt is added to the water slowly. It is stirred until
a homogeneous mixture is obtained with a low-speed mixer, leaving no
lumps. The mortar, which is rested for 5 minutes, is stirred again before
using and its homogeneity is checked.
Application:
Grout mortar prepared on the surface, minimum thickness on one layer
10mm is poured uninterruptedly from one side of the mold only. In large
areas, the thickness should not exceed 5 cm. Thicker applications should
be done in 2-3 layers. Before applying the second layer, it should be
waited for the first layer to set. In order to fill all the gaps in the mold, it
should be inserted using a steel wire with a hook, and vibrators should
not be used.
The expired mortar should not be used.
Should not be applied in temperatures below 5°C.
Should not be applied on surfaces that are exposed to direct sunlight
and wind without taking protective measures.
Foreign materials should never be mixed into the mortar.
After application, all used tools should be washed with plenty of water
before drying.
Warnings:
Do not inhale the product directly, as it is cement-based. Avoid contact
with skin and eyes.
